Dr. Frances Radkey began her healthcare career as a Registered Nurse, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 1989.
During her 10-year nursing career, Dr. Radkey gained valuable experience with all levels and types of patient care. Her desire to provide more advanced patient care along with her growing interest in internal medicine led Dr. Radkey to Medical School at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Radkey earned multiple scholarships toward her medical degree based on her superior academic performance.
She excelled in the medical program and graduated in 1999 with her medical doctor (M.D.) degree.
Dr. Radkey was accepted into the Residency program for Internal Medicine and Primary Care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and performed Residency duties at The University of Nebraska and Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Upon successful completion of the Residency program in 2002, Dr. Radkey joined the medical staff of Burnett-Lincoln-Paden Clinic in Mountain Home, AR.
In 2005, Dr. Radkey joined a large, multi-specialty clinic (180 physicians) in Springfield, Missouri where she built a diverse outpatient practice. When the Springfield clinic was purchased by a local hospital in 2008, Dr. Radkey moved to the small community of Crosby, Minnesota to practice medicine and serve on active staff at a regional medical center. To care for her father, Dr. Radkey returned to practice in Mountain Home in 2011. After her father's death, Dr. Radkey elected to relocate her practice (and her horses).
An interest in enlarging her practice led Dr. Radkey to relocate to The Villages, Florida in 2021. Dr. Radkey is now available for appointments at The Villages Health Mulberry Grove Care Center. Call 352-674-1750.
Dr. Radkey’s patient-centered approach to care is the basis for her practice. Her background as a registered nurse and experience in various clinic settings provides a broader understanding of care, processes, and available treatments, positively benefitting the patients she serves.
